Random thoughts

No motivation to blog as compared to the past, not sure why.
Another thing is it's very saddening to see the beauty bloggers(not all) fighting for advertiser's attention and i start to ponder is their review genuine to their friends and readers?
Well some copied from other's blog or website and credited as their own hard work, no one love that and the act itself is really sickening.
Isn't blogging about skincare / cosmetics your passion or just out to get "famous"?
In my earlier post i mentioned someone changed her URL to almost the same as mine (after adding me in FB), i was angry and sad but can't bother much now.

The very first event that i attended was dejavu mascara event, i was so thrilled when Shirleen agree to bring me there, i can make new friends! Anyway i was really lucky to know Shirleen as she always share her beauty tips and products review with me. She's really a nice friend and big sister to me.
I still remember vividly that i was being somehow "insulted" by a blogger at the dejavu event. No big issue, i am not a very prominent + good writer so it's ok. I don't want to poison anyone.
Now i somehow feel like i'm in my part time modelling days whereby everyone fight for more jobs and attention from my boss, the newbies are always disliked by the senior experience models.
Neverthless i'm glad and happy that i had met a few nice bloggers, willingly to share with me their beauty experiences and thoughts. I love reading their blogs each time.

Anyway, i will slowly revamp my site, i need to fix the header - i know it looked very ugly now.
I shall not poke my nose into other's business and concentrate on sharing all the beauty tips and products i had tried. :)

xoxo ~ till then.

Mentholatum Lip Balm

Many thanks to Rohto-Mentholatum and The Sample Store (formerly Fr3b) for this sponsor.
*Rohto-Mentholatum is the same company that produce HADA LABO products.

They launched in July 2010 in Singapore, with 2 different series of lip balms -
Mentholatum Mogitate Kajitsu
Mentholatum Deep Moist

"Mogitate" means "Fresh" and "Kajitsu" means "Fruits" in Japanese. This "Juicy" lip balm is bursting with natural fruity goodness and honey.

It comes in 5 different types of fruits mix flavor for you to choose~
Strawberry
Grape & Berry
Orange & Mango
White Peach
Lemon & Lime

Mogitate Kajitsu is made with Fresh Fruit Juice which contains essential minerals and vitamins that are beneficial to the lips and body. Not only that, it includes Honey in it which heals and renews your lips.
It contains other moisturizing boosters such as Squalane, Grape Seed Oil, Vitamins A & E and UV protection. Squalane is easily absorbed and is similar to the natural oil on our skin. It is extracted from plants and is highly prized Japanese supplement. Squalane helps to reduce the wrinkles caused by aging and sun damage. Grape Seed Oil helps to repair skin. Vitamin A & E are anti-oxidants that retard lip aging and give lips a healthy shine.

My review for Mentholatum Mogitate Kajitsu lip balms:
I was sent 3 flavors to review - Strawberry, Orange & Mango and Lemon & Lime.
Firstly the packaging are really eye grabbing and super "kawaii". It gives a minty sensation and "waxy" feel on my lips after applying. It doesn't looked glossy at all and allowed me to apply my lip sticks without any wait.
I would prefer lemon & lime as it's more refreshing and the fruity scent isn't too strong as compared to strawberry and Orange & Mango. Love that it comes with UV protection.

Rating: 3.5/5

*Mentholatum Mogitate Kajitsu lip balms is retailing at S$5.90 each, exclusively at Watsons.

Next, I'm going to introduce you Mentholatum Deep Moist (#1 TOP selling Lip Balm in Japan, 2006-2009!), an ultra hydrating lip balm with Hyaluronic Acid (my favourite ingredient).

There are 2 variants, Deep Moist Menthol and Deep Moist Natural.

The success of Deep Moist is due to 2 main factors, its premium hydrating ingredients at value pricing and its elegant, ergonomic packaging design.

So what are the KEY INGREDIENTS?

* Hyaluronic Acid, a premium ingredient that forms a smooth, moisture-locking shield for softer, smoother lips. It can hold 1000X its weight in water, or 6 litres of water with just 1g.
* Shea Butter heals the skin, and gives a soft, pleasant texture to lip balm.
* Jojoba Oil gives pro-longed, whole day hydration to the lips.

This Deep Moist lip balm comes in an innovative Emerald Green, oval-shaped container design that fits the corner of the mouth well and makes application easy with just a single swipe.

My review for Mentholatum Deep Moist lip balm:
I was sent both Deep Moist Menthol and Deep Moist Natural to review. I love how this packaging look, using green - it looked like a medicated lip balm and "old school" kind of feel at my first sight.
Both left a very thin layer of wax on my lip, matt look and allowed me apply my lip stick and lip plumper straight after.
My pick: Deep Moist Natural because the menthol scent is a tad too strong for me.

Rating: 4/5

*Mentholatum Deep Moist lip balms retail at S$7.90 each, exclusively at Watsons!

A mini update!

Some may have saw my post regarding about my skin allergy in FB & twitter two weeks back.
Just want to share with you ladies so that you'll be more be careful when you visit your beautician in the future. For the past 1 week, i had left my skin alone without putting on any makeup and skincare too.
As quoted from my doctor, he said that my skin outer layer was slightly burnt and maybe my beautician had used some products "which is not meant to use on face". The ingredients was so strong that it caused my face to burn. I cried for a few days, i didn't even want to talk to anyone or see anyone..

I finally realised what went wrong, my beautician admitted that she applied a new cream on my face after my mum confronted her upteen times. This "unknown brand" cream caused a disastrous to my face. At first my face had some small mini pimples popping out around my chin, followed by some itchiness. My condition worsened and my real nightmare began. . .my face became even more itchy + hot + red + looked like some skin disease.
I checked with my cousin who always patron the same beautician as me, she has the same aftermath condition too.
Feeling very down yet still have to cope with school work and advertorial.

Anyway i was really happy because my sweet mummy took very good care of me for the past few days..really feel so touch and heart-warming!

*Side note - Please remember to inform your beautician that you have sensitive skin (even if you don't), so that they would not use harsh products(that may contained strong chemical ingredients) or attempt to try any new products on your face.

Thanks to those sweetie who advised me what to do.. Really appreciate that!
